Pair face burglary charges Kelly Gordon and Brian Seymour pleaded not guilty to charges of breaking and entering before Judge Darrall Collins in Terrace provincial court on Tuesday. Gordon also pleaded not guilty to a charge of stolen property. The two men were charged after police stopped Gordon on Feb. 14 near the Dairy Queen on Lakelse Ave., said Tom Bishop, Crown counsel. Constable Lester Schell, an RCMP officer, said he found stolen property in the orange truck driven by Gordon. A cassette tape deck, two flashlights, two 50- cent pieces, a pocket watch shield were found in the truck, he ‘said. These items were reported stolen after a break-in occurred at a Queensway residence on Feb, 7, Schell told the court. Schell said Gordon gave him the name of two other suspects living on River Drive in Thronhill. They went to the residence where Schell asked Seymour and a juvenile to go to the police station with him, Scnell told the court. Schell said the juvenile gave him a wrist watch which was entered a stolen property exhibit in the court . on Tuesday, Schell said he took the three suspects back to the police station and in- tarviewed each of them separately after reading them thelr rights. He'said that after the In- terviews the three suspects were taken to the house that had been broken into on Queensway and asked them if they had been there before. He said each suspect said “Yea", After the court heard evidence from crown wit- nesses, Don Brown, Seymour's lawyer, asked for an adjournment because he wanted time to locate and interview a defense witness.
