Prior to passage of the resolution stated above Alderman Traboulay

inquired concerning the degree of subsidy afforded to events such as
this and questioned whether the average edtizen in the community should
be subsidialng this event. He also inquired whether money losing evens
have been re-examined with a view te perhaps omitting them from che
program. Alderman Keryluk advined that in his opinion an event soch ag
proposed by the Winter Wind=up Carnival Committee wan Al lease partly
the Community's respongibility and although Alderman Ranger stated his
apreemant with Alderman Traboulay he thought that the event should yo
ahead as seheduled,
