September 27, 1993/289 Fire drills be held in buildings and structures to ensure that occupants are acquainted with emergency procedures to be taken in the event of fire; Special instructions on the subject of fire prevention be given in the schools by teachers and municipal officials; and Federal, provincial and municipal authorities endeavour to impress upon citizens the national importance of protecting life, property and the environment from loss of fire. DELEGATIONS: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced members of the POCOMO Teen Centres Society who gave a presentation on the benefits of the Society to youth, as well as their vision of permanent neighbourhood facilities. Traboulay intreduced Peter Calder and Steve Bruyneel, BC Hydro, who gave a presentation regarding the services provided and the required upgrading of the Burrard Thermal Generating Station.
