PROPOSED PARKING AREA - WEST SIDE OF
MARY BILL ROAD AT COLONY FARM
(Public Works Commiites Meeting of June 21, 1994)

That Council approve the construction of a six-stall parallel parking area on the
west side of Mary Hill Road approximately 300 metres noxth of Eastem Drive at
an estimated cost of $8,000.

2) That Council allocate $8,000 from the Special Public Works Capital Reserve Fund
for this purpose. "

There is a need for public parking on the west side of Mary Hill Road adjacent to Colony Farm
for visitors to the Colony Farm area.

‘The Public Works Committee considered a public parking area on the west side of Mary Hill
Road approximately 500 metres north of Eastern Drive. However, it was determined that the
side slope was too steep for widening of the shoulder at this location. It is therefore proposed to
construct a six stall parallel parking area approximately 300 metres north of Eastern Drive
directly north of the existing dyke access road, at an estimated cost of $8,000 as described in the
attached June 10, 1994 memorandum from the Project Technician.
