That City Council! direct the City Clerk to prepare a bylaw to.
amend the Sign Bylaw to contain the following clause: .

"Section 10 of ‘the Sign Bylaw Is to be amended by adding the
sentence, 'The sign area permitted shal! not be affected by the amount
of sign area used by other businesses located on ‘the: parcel .!- so that
the section reads as follows:

‘Where more than one business Is located on a parcel, each business: may
construct, erect, Install or display a sign that has a sign area which
compared to the sign area permitted for the parce! under this bylaw has
the same ratio as the floor area of the business has to the floor area
of all bul'ldings’on the parcel. The sign area permitted shall not be.
affected by the amount of sign area used by other busInesses located on
