In 1987 the library budget was increased from $300 to
$500,

In tour figures, tle puichasc of 13 books came to
$399; magazines (renewals and back issues) $138;
supplies and services $23. Also, the IVC “Section 38"
proect contributed 5 books and additional subscription
funds.

Thanks to Sheila Serack, who put our book tiles on a
computer disk, we have available a printed catalogue by

author. The Ceramic Monthly Annual indexed 1971 -
1567 were copied and bound and the magasines put in
fle boxes, which should make our run of CM more

usedul for reference.

In addition to the thme before monthly meetings, the
library will be open Wednesday afternoons from 12-5
p.m., altended by Sandy Korman while working in the
Guild office. Other weekly hours will be announced.

Sheila Serack, who has helped this year with library
work, will be taking over as Hbcarian and chairman of
the library committee. Having been MOre or less in
charge of the library since 1989, lam pleased to he able
to turn things over to a person as enthusiastic and
capable as Sheila is, I urge members Interested in this
arta to come forward and offer Sheila their help, The
library is growing, and services could be improved ifthe
work is shared.
