BYLAW NO, 2043

A Bylaw to Implement a Method of Procedure
Under the Emergency Program Act.

The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, In open
meeting assembled, enacts as follows:

The City of Port Coquitiam Guide to Emergency Response, 1982, being a replacement
Civil Defence Plan for the City, is confirmed and continued as the plan
established by the City pursuant to the authority of the Emergency Program Act.

The City's Emergency Program Co-ordinator, as appointed from time to time by
resolution of the Council, shall ensure that the Guide to Emergency Response is
as accurate as possible in regard to the information it contains and the Co-
ordinator shall do all things required so that the system established therein to
deal with emergencies is at all times fully operational and practical.

Exercises to ensure the operational readiness and practicality of the system to
deal with emergencies established by the Guide to Emergency Response shal! be
organized and conducted regularly by the Emergency Program Coordinator.

Further actions or proceedings of the Council! required or authorized under the
Emergency Program Act may be undertaken by resolution or bylaw.

The "City of Port Coquitiam Civil Defence Bylaw No. 827, 1966", and all
amendments thereto, are repealed.

This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the "Emergency Program Bylaw, 1984,
No. 2043",
