APATHY FOR THE AL-
BERNIS: The apathetic attitude
of the Federal Government in
re-establishing citizens who lost
their homes in the recent tidal
wave leaves much to be desired
and many still homeless. The Ind-
ian Reserve being the hardest
hit will undoubedly get the least
and last from the Great White
Father at Ottawa,
If that Puppet of the Pentagon
in our Federal Capital needs
assistance in any decision for
compensating the Albernis it is
only necessary to follow the
southern leader and recompense
the losses one hundred percent
as is being done in Alaska,
In the meantime with no Ind-
ian representing the Indians in
the Indian Affairs Department
it looks like they will get the
usual lack of representation, par-
ticularly in regard to compen-
sation for tidal wave damage.

set for May 8th and 9th.
The Committee this week ap-
pealed to supporters to do their
share by going out for signatures
and encouraging others to do the
same. —
