Wwe, Oct. 19/78 - From the Public Works Committee, October 19th, 1978 recommending -ire Closure of “jMorgan Ave, concirrence with the Planning Officer's report to Council under date of October 10th, 1978 for closure of Morgan Avenue. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That as recommended by the Planning Officer in a report to Council October 10th, 1978 the Public Works Committee, October 19th, 1978 give concurrence to the closure of Morgan Avenue. Withdrawn. Prior to the question being called the Planning Officer explained the request to close Morgan Avenue advising that the closure would prevent traffic from the industrial area coming into the residential ‘area. Alderman Laking advised with the Mary Hill By-pass there will be changes and the City should wait until the collector roads in the area are established. Alderman Ranger advised that in his opinion this was a "non=problem" and should be considered at a future date.
