incubator Warehouse -
Chamber of Commerce Project

RECOMMENDATION:

That City Council authorize the Planning Department to apply to
the provincia! Ministry of Economic Development for a grant of
$5,000 to conduct a feasibility study for an incubator
warehouse in Port Coquitlam.

COMMENTS

This project has been under discussion by the Chamber of
Commerce and the City's Economic Development Committee for some
Time, The project has not proceeded earlier due to funding
restriction. Support for funding the project has been extended
by’ Ministry staff, but the funding source requires the grant be
Channeled through the City. Due to this requirement, it is
recommended that Council authorize the Planning Department to
submit a grant application for the project.
