Board, if, indeed, such an organization exists, and a walk Hazelton cemetery would give one: the impression that no such organization was in existence. It seems opportune that the ceme- tery board be organized and an effort made to make the cemetery good people who have done their bit in anew country and gone on to seek new riches.: A great many of those buried in the local.. cemetery had no relatives here, and, as a result, the gravea are neglected and without a plan.. Many: could not be found. Only a few graves are cared for and those make a contrast’ which is not guod to contemplate. The cemetery grounds have al very neglected appearance. Most of the graves are exposed to the depredations of cattle, horses, or mischievous people. While the]; location is a beautiful one, there “7.00 |. ‘ . 1 the law is new. and unknown. are not many who do not shudder when contemplating being placed there in due course, oniy to be forgotten. It seems that with very little effort sufficient interest could be aroused to clean up the cemetery, place a substantial fence around it, and to appoint. a caretaker who would see.that weeds, brush, and animals (wild and domestic) were kept out, and ‘that flowers, for which the district has some fame, were made to bloom where none bloom now. A_ beautiful \cemetery would be a good ad- lvertisement. It would at least show that the departed were not | all forgotten. .
