MEMORANDUM

Proposed New Port Coguitlam Library - Client-Architect Agreement

We believe members of Council are aware that with respect to the new
Library building proposed for the south east corner of Mary Hill Road and Wilson
Street we are now at the stage where a formal apreement between the City and
the Architect for the project is necessary.

Accordingly, having been advised by Mr. Pollock that he and our City
Engineer, Mr. F.E. Peters, P.Eng., have reviewed the agreement and find it
satisfactory we would Suggest that Council give consideration to the following
resolution:

: "That the standard Form of Agreement between a client and Architect
(being the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and Ib G. Hansen) dated the
13th day of April 1981 and calling for a total payment to the Architect in the
amount $10,000.00 as set out in article twelve of the said Agreement be approved:

AND THAT His Worship the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute
the said Agreement on behalf of the City and to affix the Corporate Seal thereto."

A copy of Article twelve is set forth on the reverse side of this

memorandum and a copy of the complete Agreement is available for review by any
member of the Council or public in the Clerk's office.
