RECEIVED AT: ITEM I-~ 2:40 pm re: Traffic Lights — Lougheed Highway FEB 17 1978 at Coast Meridian Road eaten! : noaaee At a recent Council Meeting the City Engineer was directed to point out to the Ministry of Highways and Public Works the potentially confusing situation for eastbound traffic on the Lougheed Highway turning left onto Coast Meridian Road. A copy of a letter from the Ministry dated February 13th, 1978 is attached for information. ‘ sniecie mae tes ITEM If re: Coquitlam River Bridge The City Engineer has now received the requested in- formation from the Provincial Ministry of the Environment which sets out the basic criteria for the design and construction of a bridge over the Coquitlam River in the Patricia - Lincoln area. Considerable interest has been expressed by a variety of firms and it is expected that a request for specific proposals will be going out to these firms the week of February 20th, 1978. The two requests from the merchants were discussed as well as a number of other items relating to traffic in this area.
