SUBJECT: Development Variance Permit = 3427 Raletgh Street -
Public Works Committee June 2, 1987

Recommendation: ;

That the previous recommendation of the Public Works

Committee regarding a Development Vartance Permit for 3427
Raleigh Street be confirmed.

Background and Comments:

During Councti's consideration of the Development Vartanca
Permit, several! residents spoke with regard to the
configuration of the subdivision, Although the Input of the
residents was not strictly retated to the Development Variance

request, Council referred the matter back to the Public Works
Committee.

The Committee held a meeting with residents of Raleltgh
Street in attendance. At this meeting the. reasons for the
requirements of subdiviston were presented. The option favored
by the residents of Raleigh Street ts not a vasid option as the
subdivision could not be approved. The residents then stated

that they had no objections to the Development Variance Permit
itself.
