From the Senior Building Inspector, August 31st, 1978 advising that Sr. Bldg Insp the Street Naming Committee has selected the name WADDELL AVENUE for the Aug. 31/78 re street name - unnamed street in the subdivision between Knappen Street and Magellan (Knsepen Magellan Subd.) Street. Moved by Aliderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That- as recommended by the Street Naming Committee, August 31st, 1978 the unnamed street in the subdivision between Knappen Street and Magellan Street be named WADDELL AVENUE. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Mabbett gave a brief history of the residents named Waddell. From the City Clerk, September 6th, 1978 advising of the end of the City Clerk, Sept. 6/78 re Council Mtg. summer season and asking Council's instructions on the Council Meeting Schedule Schedule and whether it ig Council's intention to hold a meeting on Monday, September 18th, 1978 immediately preceding the Union of British Columbia Municipalities Convention as some of the Council members will be absent. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Atderman Mabbett: That the City Clerk be authorized to schedule alternate week meetings at 7:30 p.m. every other Monday night (except Statutory Holidays) during the months of September, October and November, 1978. Alderman Laking voted against the resolution.
