Defeated, Aldermen Wright and Traboulay voted in favour of the resolution. Prior to the question being called on the resolution discussion ensued, Alderman Wright stated in his opinion the newsletter is a worthwhile expenditure as it helps to keep residents advised of various Civic matters. P & Z Comm. , From the Planning and Zoning Committee, September 6th, 1979 regarding Sept. 6/79 re City's policy the City's policy on duplex zoning. on Duplex Zoning. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: FHAT as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Committee, September 6th, 1979 the current regulations governing duplex zoning remain unchanged; THAT a suitable design be submitted with each rezoning application so that Council can evaluate the acceptability of the proposed duplex; THAT in evaluating the acceptability of a design special consideration be given to ensure that quality and value of the proposed duplex reflect the prevailing standards of the immediate neighbourhood; AND THAT in future rezoning of land for residential developments duplex properties be determined as part of the package rezoning and subdivision so that future residents can be assured of where duplex use will occur within the subdivision.
