Brown Director of Community Planning Amendment to RS-1] Regulations for Personal Care Operations RECOMMENDATION: That City Counci! direct the Clerk's Office to prepare bylaw amending the Zoning Bylaw, Section 24, RS-=1 Sub-section (1) Uses Permitted, Clause (d) Personal Care Use, Sub-clause (i) number of guest. permitted, to provide for an increase in the total number of guest from 10 to 12. COMMENTS: The Planning Committee of City Council heard a delegation by Mr. Glen Yammada of Barberry Lodge respecting the above noted topic. The direction of Mr. Yammadats request was that he wants to have an additional bedroom in his lodge, but is not permitted by the Zoning Bylaw. ; In reviewing the matter, the Planning Committee determined the options available to Mr. Yammada are to rezone the property to a P-1 designation or to request the City to revise the RS-1 regulations, permitting him to have the number permitted by the change was felt to be preferable. It should be noted the reason the Planning Committee have attempted to accommodate Mr. Yammada is his operation is felt to be an exemplary one, that fits into the surrounding neighbourhood.
