Fee Schedule

Total Coste ~ Under the proposed schedule, total resident burial
costa will be:

(1) adult full burial.....$704.50 (presently $580.00)

(2) exemation interment $135.50 (presently $120.50)

Non Resident Fees ,

(1) are applied to grave space fees only

(2) proposed to be set 50% higher than resident fees

(3) total adult full burial $836.50 (presently $662.00)

BACKGROUND/PROBLEM - ONE INTERMENT

Survey - Double depth full burials permitted in only one cemetery.
The problem concerned with double depth graves ia unstable soil
conditions.

Coat etc. - Material for shoring and extra preparation time required,
adds in excess of $250.00 to the cost. Safety concerns for workers
has also been expressed and there is danger of damage to existing —
graves.

Use — In 1989 there were not more than 10 full double depth
interments but with rising burial costs, increasing enquiries are
being received.

Cremation Section multi burials have not been a problem.

CONCLUS ION/SUMMARY

That Port Coquitlam cemetery rate schedules be increased as proposed
‘to bring rates closer to the average rates surveyed.

That sale of adult extra depth grave) be ho longer permitted
(pre-need spaces already sold to be completed aa arranged).
