Je suis né en Saskatchewan ow j’ai
obtenu mon baccalauréat és Arts du
Collége Mathieu. J’ai poursuivi mes
études 4 Montréal et 4 Ottawa. J’ai
pratiqué les arts presque toute ma
vie et j’ai été professeur d’art en
Ontario pendant 25 ans avant de
déménager en Colombie-Britannique
pour devenir artiste 4 temps plein.
Pour moi, les arts visuels sont le lan-
gage qui nous unit 4 cet aspect de
nous-mémes qui ne connait pas de
mots. Le langage visuel est silen-
cieux et complet et nous permet de
saisir le tout en un instant. Alors
pour garder mon corps en vie, je
respire. Pour garder mon ame
vivante, je peins.

I was born in Saskatchewan where I
received a Bachelor of Arts from the
College Mathieu. I pursued my stu-
dies in Montreal and Ottawa. I have
been a practicing artist for most of
my life and was an Art teacher in
Ontario for 25 years before moving
to British-Columbia, to work as a
full-time artist. For me visual art is
the language that connects us to that
aspect of ourselves, which knows no
words. It is silent and whole and
allows us to see it all in an instant.
And so to keep my body alive, I
breathe. To keep my soul alive, I
paint.
