LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lots 61 and 62, NW 1/4, 6/40, Plan 31851 Lots 198 and 199, NW 1/4, 6/40, Plan 56242 BACKGROUND: The proposed development is to be undertaken by Humford Developments which developed the Prairie Mall and the Shopping Centre at Coast Meridian/Salisbury. The appearance of this proposed project will be similar to the one at Coast Meridian/ Salisbury. The following are some of the relevant data of the project: SITE AREA 32,000 square feet BUILDING AREA 13,660 square feet BUILDING HEIGHT 15 feet (one storey) PARKING 31 stalls. The proposed development site is outside the established boundary of the North Side Commercial Centre, and consequently modification to Council's established policy on this Centre is necessary. In conjunction with this proposed development, the Planning and Zoning Committee reviewed the North Side Commercial Centre -concept and is of the opinion that it is desirable to re-align the northerly and easterly boundaries of the Centre as shown on the attached sketch. This is primarily a matter of tidying up the overall boundary of the North Side Commercial Centre. RECOMMENDATION: The Committee recommends: (1.) The preposed development be advanced to a Public Information Meeting. (2.) The policy on the North Side Commercial Centre toundary be modified as shown on the attached sketch, LL/lag
