WHEREAS it is generally ack.owledged that there is a serious

lack of adequate low income and subsidized housing in the

G.V.R.D. areca; _and

WHERDCAS part of the solution of this housing problem relies on an
accurate definition of the problem as to where and what kind of

accommodation is needed;

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT the G.V.R.D. be asked to reconsider

its previous action with regard to refusing the funds being

made available by C.M.H.C. to carry out a Housing Needs Survey,
and instead resolve to accept these funds to establish a
contincing and comprehensive Regional Housing Registry which
will provide the precise "WHO, WHAT, WIERE, and WHY" in regard

to both housing needed and where such housing is available.

AND FURTHER BE If RESOLVED THAT the other member municipalities

of the G.V.R.D. be asked to present support of this motion to

the G.V.R.D.
