Although it may have been possible to tighten up this
Schedule by a few days, it is not at all a bad record for a
City with limited man power and equipment and crews whe also
have maintenance responsibliities ongoing during their
construction responsibilities.

The financial record, tar from showing
inefficiencies, shows that this project was done extremely
efficiently. Our total cost for the project, including
estimated 8.C. Hydro costs which have not yet been finalized,
is $240,902.00. This compares with a cost of $334,000 if we
had used the same unit prices as we did tor the Broadway
contract. That is a reduction of 28% over our tendered prices
for Broadway. You may recall that Cewe's bid on the Broadway
contract was only {5% below our tendered price. it is
therefore obvious that even though we have had a 2% wage
increase this’ year we were still able to undercut Cewe'ls 1982
unit prices. : :
