For further information contact Barbara Barron at 980-6446, Meeting The Potters Guild of B.C. holds its next general meeting on Wednesday, April 15, Van Dusen Gardens, 3/th & Oak streets, Vancouver. Following the 7:00 p.m. social hour and the 8:00 p.m. business meeting, David Atamanchuk will give a slide show and commentary on the beautiful pottery of the Tzu-chou potters of the Sung period (960 - 1279). David graduated in ceramics from the Vancouver School of Art in 1977 and received a Japanese Ministry of Education schol- arship to study in Japan. From Apri] 1979 to very recently David studied undér Professor Mikami at the Idemitsu Museum, in addition to having worked further on his interests at both the Tokyo National Museum and the Hakone Museum. David studied both Japanese and Chinese ceramics, but has mainly concentrated on Chinese ceramics from the Sung and Yuan periods for the past year. The slides you will see are David's own and they represent works actually seen and held by him. This promises to be a fascinating evening: don't miss it! CERAMICS 81 - The deadline for the receipt of entry forms has been extended to April 30, 1981, due to the enthusiastic response so far. To date, there have been over 80 entry submissions.
