. The Kalum Timber Supply Area is approximately
500 kilometers long and 100 kilometers wide. It
contains the 3 major centers of Terrace, Kitimat

and Stewart plus numerous smaller selltements

with a total population of 35,000.

The total allowable annual cut Is 2,763,000 cubic
meters (79,000 truck loads). The area harvested is
10,000 hectares (ha.) annually.
