ne September 25, 1989/193 prior to the Council meeting of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, September 25th, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in attendance, Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk/Deputy Administrator R.A, Freeman, City Engineer T.M, Chong, Director of Community Pianning W.A. Brown. ZONING PUBLIC HEARIKG: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaws would now be considered: Bylaw No. 2452: to rezone (1) Parcel “A” (L83816E) of Lot 14, and Parcel "A" (H71707E) of Lot 153 Block 3; District Lot 379; Group One Plan 1213 New Westminster District from RS-3 (Estate Residential) to RM~4 (Apartment). A letter was received from E. Radlgruber, President of Reids Department Store Ltd., 2557 Shaughnessy Street expressing opposition for the rezoning application as they feel the area to be of potentially prime value for high density commercial and residential development, Dr. S. Little, of the Simon Fraser Health Unit, spoke in favour of the Proposed rezoning so as to accommodate people who need good, affordable housing. Ms. A. Falle, 1583 st. Albert, Port Coquitlam spoke in favor of the proposed rezoning as she feels this type of housing is long overdue in Port Coquitlam. Ms. S. Disanto, 1681 Westminster Avenue, Port Coquitlam, spoke in favor of the proposed rezoning . Ms. J. Barr, 2120 Bridget Drive, Port Coquitlam, spoke in favor of the proposed rezoning, Mr. N. Cameron, 20508 Mary Hill Road, Port Coquitlam, a member of the New View Society, spoke in favor of the proposed rezoning as he was looking forward to the apartment as a means of more independence for New View members.
