Depuis 1990, le Festival d’été francophone de Vancouver est devenu un rendez-vous incontournable
pour faire rayonner la chanson francophone sur la Cote Ouest, dans la troisiéme plus grande ville du
Canada. Fidéle a sa vision artistique, le festival fait une place aux plus grands noms de l'heure de la
musique et de la chanson. La soirée Gala Unis TV du samedi 18 juin promet une soirée mémorable avec
Ariane Moffatt, récipiendaire de nombreux prix pour son dernier album « 22h22 », et Yann Perreau, a
qui l'année 2016 s’annonce peut-étre comme la plus importante de sa carriére avec le lancement de
son 5iéme album. Le premier extrait, « J‘aime les oiseaux », tourne trés fort depuis sa sortie en février.
Aussi, nous poursuivons notre engagement a faire mieux connaitre et découvrir les talents de la scene
musicale francophone vancouvéroise et de l'Ouest canadien. Parmi nos artistes locaux, St-Pierre et
Pascale Goodrich-Black font un retour en force attendu, et Vazzy offrira aux plus jeunes en grande
premiére leur spectacle pour enfants, qui n’a jamais été présenté en francais auparavant. Venus de nos
provinces voisines, vous aurez le plaisir de découvrir deux franco-manitobaines au talent exceptionnel,
Marijosée et Rayannah, et le groupe fransaskois Ponteix qui se fait remarquer partout au Canada depuis
le début de l'année.

Notre projet de résidence artistique cette année se conclura par trois spectacles gratuits présentés
en extérieur les 23, 24 et 25 juin, notamment grace a de nouvelles collaborations avec les autorités
portuaires de Vancouver et Canada Place, ainsi que la « North Shore Jazz Series » du Festival international
de jazz de Vancouver.

Since 1990, the Festival dété francophone de Vancouver, held in Canada’s third largest city, has become a
not-to-be-missed event that brings Francophone vocal music to the West Coast. True to its artistic vision, the
festival reserves a place for some of the biggest names in contemporary music and “chanson*. The Gala Unis
TV show on Saturday, June 18, promises to be a night to remember, with Ariane Moffatt, winner of many
prizes for her most recent album “22h22” and Yann Perreau, for whom 2016 looks like it may be the most
important year of his career so far, with the launch of his fifth album. The first cut on this latest work, “‘aime
les oiseaux’ has been a huge hit since its release in February.

Also, we will continue to pursue our commitment to discover and promote new talents on the Francophone
music scene of Vancouver and Western Canada. In our line-up of local artists are St-Pierre and Pascale
Goodrich-Black, back in force. For our young audience, Vazzy will bring a children’s show, in its grand premier
performance in French. From our our neighbouring provinces, we will present two exceptionally talented
Franco-Manitobans, Marijosée and Rayannah, and the Franco-Saskatchewan group Ponteix, which has
been high on the radar screen across Canada since the beginning of the year.

Our artists in residence project this year will conclude with three free outdoor shows on June 23, 24. and 25, in
particular thanks to new collaborations with the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority and Canada Place, as well
as the North Shore Jazz Series of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival.
