girlfriends, but I haven't courted for 50 years, and am rather —

- Trecently asked a woman in my age group to accompany
me to a variety of social engagements. She -was most
agreeable. She turned out to be a warm, lively, affectionate
companion, and I must admit that I am erazy about her!

The problem: Her kisses. Abby, this woman's kissesshake | -

me from top to toe: don't know why. [ hate to call it “tech:

nique” or suggest, that she has developed her kissing pur: . -

posely, but she. must be conscidus of the ‘effect her kissing -
has on males. (She is a widow.) I can't learn from her because |
I don’t know what she is doing. I only know that thig
woman's kisses drive me crazy. All the kisses | have had
before are just not in the same league. She'is gentle. She is .
loving, but I am glad that not all women kiss the way she
does. There must be a happy medium. , °

giving you a message. She's probably crazy about you, too,
so don’t dismiss it ag a routine “tongue-in-cheek” matter,

presents, so they shouldn't be sent any.” And.you replied,

- “It won't work. Most parents (and relatives) are so glad that
the kids finally: made it legal, they send gifts anyway.”

Well, here's haw J handle it: Qut of respect to the parents,
Isend a gift. [ buy the first low-priced, ugly, useless piece af
junk I-see, have it gift-wrapped and sent. (If there's a
shower, I do the same.) ; . -

I figure the gift is as appropriate as the wedding. And if
Mr. and Mrs, Sleazy Morals have any perception at all, they
will get the message that their wedding is no more mean- -

. REALISTIC IN MASS.

DEAR BEALISTIC: Since you send a gift “out of respect
of the parenta,” how much “respect” do you think a “low-
- priced, ugly, useless piece of junk” will convey?

, - You'd be ahead to save your time, money and “respect,”

and send nothing. .

DEAR ABBY: Regarding the letter about the man marry-
ing a girl who was six months pregnant with another man's
child: that’s my son you are talking about, and I am so very
proud of him.

» He'was engaged to this girl, and her brother-in-law took
_advantage of her, My son went ahead and married her, ad-

- vancing the wedding date so he could take care of her,

_ He's elaiming the child as his own, and as far as I’m con- -
cerped, that child will be treated exactly like all my other
grandchildren! ‘ . -
