Here’s a final report from the organizers.. SKEENA VALLEY JUNIOR GOLF As we close our 1987 season we report our club had 61 boys - games — Tod Waldron. The Northern B.C. Winter Games Society has awarded the 1990 games to the Peace foot- hills communities of Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd and Hudson’s Hope. The Society, by special resolu- tion, also awarded the 1992 games to Fort Nelson. The Peace foothills decision was unanimous at a meeting ‘held, in Williams Lake last month. The other two bids for this year came from Quesnel and a combined bid from Burns Lake, Houston and Granisle. The normal awarding of games is through bids from two or more communities, but Fort Nelson won the 1992 games because they would tie in with celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of completion of the Alaska Highway. ~ Directors.. candidate.
