Dear Mr. Zahynacz:

Reference: Port Coquitlam Home Centre Development

As discussed at our meeting of March 7, .1994, this letter is to inform you of the status
of design and approvals for the roadworks on Shaughnessy Street and Lougheed Highway
connected with the above project.

We have contacted the various agencies involved in this work and received the following
informaticn:

1) Ministry of Transportation and Highways: Approval for the roadworks can be made
based on the existing design and should be available early next week. Approval for
the electrical work can be made on the present design after revisions are made to
specifications reviewed earlier. No timing was available from the MoTH Electrical
Department for this approval. MoTH is not concerned with revisions proposed to
Shaughnessy Suee. (BC Transit proposal for the tus bay) south of Lougheed and
these revisions should not hold up the approval process.

The design and cost estimates for relocations of BC Hydro poles on Shaughnessy and
Lougheed are underway and should be finalized this week. The construction timing
for these relocations isn’t known at this time.

The engineering design for roadworks will be completed by the end of this week and
drawings sent to BC Transit and The City of Port Coquitlam for approval. The
Engineering design for the Electrical revisions will be completed by March 18th.
