Your Worship; It is my intention to inform you & City Council of Port Coquitlam that on July 29th to August 7th, the 14th World Jamboree will be held at Lillehammer, Norway. “This is an event held every four years in various couhtries and is attended by Scouts from all over the world. The last one. was held in Japan in 1971. Unfortunately we had no participants. However this year we have two Boys and two Adults attending the world Jamboree in Norway. The fee to attend is around $900 per person. The Port Coquitlam District Council of Boy Scouts of Canada has donated $200 each to help these participants to attend, . to, Ir respectfully ask of you and your Council. to take into sincere consideration to assist, especially the boys in any way . possible to attend this very important event, ae I feel that these boys are not only representing the .:-. Scouting Movement in Port Coquitlam but are also representing the City of Port Coquitlam in a far off land.
