Finance Committee

. The Finance Committee met on Monday afternoon, November 5th, and
discussed the setting of Business Licence Fees for 1980. It would be a
help if Council would give this matter consideration now as the billing
generally takes place during the month of December and it would enable the
preparation of a By~law at this time.

The Schedule of Fees was the subject of a complete revision for
1979 and the Committee therefore recommends a flat percentage increase for
1980. A schedule is attached showing the suggested rates and this amounts
to approximately a 7% increase in all categories.

The Committee has given this matter consideration and recommends
the 7% increase for 1980.
