Bosses ITEM V - Re: United Housing Foundation Comments: Committee Attached is all the information on this item. The sale or lease of City owned land will undoubtedly be processed by the Land Sales Committee, however, locations for this use, type and need are considerations which should be shared between the Planning and Zoning: and Building Committee. A study of services and requirements would be in order prior to Council decision; this will require several weeks to prepare. The priority on this item in comparison to our present work load should be discussed and placed accordingly. Comments: The Committee was fortunate to have participation by the Health and Welfare Committee Chairman, The Committee generally felt that a study of our own requirements for land should be considered before considering sale or lease to other agencies. The Committee unanimously agreed that Public Housing is a top priority and further the City has indicated their feelings by participating in the Regional Housing Function, Recommendations: : ITEM VI The Committee recommends that a letter to the United Housing Foundation which outlines our present involvement with Regional Housing Function and that a study on City owned lands to determine the highest and best use is required prior to any policies on sale or leasing of City lands. - Re: Development Freeze due to School Situation Committee Comments: Recommend The Committee discussed the school situation in light of the meeting held Tuesday, January 30th, 1973.
