City Engineer SUBJECT: Sidewalk om Storm Sewer/Sanitary Sewer Right of Way — 1619 Renton (Public Works Committee August 21, 1990) Recommendations: That Council approve their request to allow a minor encroachment of a sidewalk onto the storm sewer/sanitary sewer right of way over a portion of the lot at 1619 Renton provided that the owner agrees that in the event of a need to repair the sanitary or storm sewers that the sidewalk could be saw cut along the right of way, removed, and then repaired at the owner's expense. Background & Comments: In considering the attached report, the Committee felt it would be reasonable to allow the minor encroachment of 0.26 (10.2 inches) of the private sidewalk over the existing sanitary/storm sewer right of way provided that the owner agrees that in the event of the need to repair the sewers in the right of way, the owner would pay for the expense of removing and replacing the sidewalk over the right of way. = .
