Additional information regarding extension of Rezoning and Development
Permit applications 87/92 & 88/92 at 1636 - 1650 Grant Avenue. |

_ BACKGROUND:
_ At the meeting of March 21, 1994, Council deferred consideration of a request to
_ extend the Rezoning and Development Permit application for a 40 unit apartment
building at 1636 - 1650 Grant Avenue. This memo contains background information on
items that are still outstanding to complete the application. |

. BISCUSSION:

One of the reasons that the application has not proceeded sooner is that the |

applicant has been invoived in negotiations with the developer of an apartment building ©
on the opposite side of the street (1655 Grant Avenue) and the Engineering Department
“+ on the issue of providing services on a joint and coordinated basis. These negotiations _

- were not completed at the time that the application expired on February 1, 1994. |

At the time that the extension was requested on February 22, 1994, the following

1. Formal confirmation from the Engineering Department that their requirements _

Anew legal description of the consolidated property to enter on the Development

3. Areduced set of the most current architectural and landscape plans to attach to:
