8th, 1977, Mr. George Ulmer, Works & Utilities Superintendent, be sent
to a seminar, sponsored by the Governmental Refuse Collection and Disposal
Association, to be held at Lake Tahoe, August 31st to September 2nd,
1977, and that the registration fee of $75.00 plus regular per diem

expenses and travelling allowance in connection therewith be paid by the

City. Carried.

It was then suggested that consideration of the above~stated item
be deferred at this time as the development cannot proceed without the

Land Use Contract therefore being authorized, and to this members of

Council generally agreed.

Ald.Mabbett re Alderman MaLbett referred to a problem created last week by failure of the

traffic light -
failure-Pitt new traffic lights at McLean Avenue and Pitt River Road, and he advised

R.Rd. & McLean
Ave. that in the future when such a malfunction occurs, the lights will be

scheduled for four-way stops during repairs to lessen inconvenience to the

public.
