batt haa NOV - ¢ 1992 THE CORPORATION OF TRE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM BYLAW NO. 2738 Building and Pluabing Bylaw WHEREAS the Building Requiations of British Columbia apply to The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam; AND WHEREAS the City Council may by Bylaw regulate construction and related matters, and provide for the administration of the Building Regulations; NOW THEREFORE the City Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1. DEFINITIONS In this Bylaw: “Addition” means any alteration to a building which increases the floor area of the building, and includes the linkage of two or more buildings by openings providing access between buildings. “Agent” means a person authorized by an Owner to represent the Owner for the purpose of this Bylaw. “Alteration” means any repair, renovation, or modification of the construction or arrangement of any building, structure. of occupancy regulated under this Bylaw. “Assessed Value” means the most recent assessed value of a building as determined by the Assessment Authority of British Columbia. "Building” means any structure used or intended for supporting or sheltering any use or occupancy. "Building Ingpector" includes the Director of Building Permits and Inspections, the Chief Building Inspector, the Building Inspectors, the Plumbing Inspector, the Permit Review Technician and the Clerk-Permits, acting under the supervision of the Director of Building Permits and Inspections. "Building Code" means the British Columbia Building Code established pursuant to the Building Regulations of British Columbia, B.C. Regulation 192/87, as amended or re-enacted from time to time. “Construction Value” means the value of construction ascertained from the most recent ‘Marshall Valuation Services’ publication with the current cost multipliers applicable to the City of Port Cogquitiam area, or a construction valuation calculation accepted as an equivalent by the Director of Building Permits and Inspections.
