Volunteer Nanaimo is a participating agency, along with 13 others and YOU can help the not for profits in many different ways. 1. Visit the store and take advantage of rock bottom bargain purchases - the lowest in town on clothing and some very nice jewellry, collectables, furniture and small appliances! 2. Donate your family's gently used clothing, small appliances, furniture etc. You can donate anonymously (and help all the participating agencies) or mention you are supporting a specific participant (such as Volunteer Nanaimo , Auxilliary of NRGH, Big Brothers & Big Sisters of CVI, CNIB, Chase River Counselling, Cowichan Valley Hospice Society, Island Christian Care Society, L'Association des francophones de Nanaimo, Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank, Morrell Sancturary Society, Nanaimo Non-Violence Society, Mid Island Unity Church), and more agencies to come check the "Charity Wall" at the checkout stand when making your purchases. 3. Are you having a garage sale? call them and donate your leftovers! 4. Volunteer, they expecially need help this weekend in the push to get their doors open, but they will be needing ongoing help to sort, organize, in all phases of the operation. A few hours a week will be a huge help to them and to nfp's! 5. Spread the good word. Like the Helene Curtis ad...you tell two people and they tell two people and so on and so on and so on.....
