glazing on their windows and solar heating in their house the assessment
is raised and this should be looked into.

That Beedie Construction be given permission to install a sign
advertising the proposed Oxbow development at the corner of Shaughnessy
Street and Chester Street north of the Lougheed Highway.

Lost for want of a seconder.

That the request from Beedie Construction to install a sign advertising

Alderman Traboulay asked for clarification on the City's involvement Ald. Traboulay

with the Senior Citizen's picnic sponsored by the R.C.M.P. in Lions Park Picnic.
and Mayor Campbell stated it has been the City's policy to pay $1.00 per
Port Coquitlam Senior Citizen attending to offset the cost of the meal
provided.

Utilities Superintendent stated if the work is not done the City would i
be completing the clean-up taking the cost involved from the monies
deposited by the developer with the City.
Alderman Mabbett commented on looking into better protection for Ald. Mabbett

the City regarding sewer back-up in view of two recent Court decisions where back-ups,
municipalities had been held responsible for damage from this source. Discussion

ensued and the Administrator advised that the City's insurance is now out to tender

and this item is under consideration.
