#212 - 1955 Western Prive, Port Gogquitian, 8,G.,; March ith, 1972. Mr. Bruce Scott, Mayor, All Aldernen, 4 City Clerk, and adalnistretor, f City of Port Comiuitlam, 5.C. . MAR 2 0 1972 Dear Sirs; I em wriving this letter to voice protest to the large amount of Gravel truck traflic on Mary Hill Rood during the late evening and early morning hours. ; I also notice this traffic pattern changed at approximately the same time the District of Coj- uitlam placed a ban on this traffic during these hours, It is my conclusion that the Gravel truck operators are hauling out of the Ocean Cement Com- pany Mery Hill operation during the hours the District ban is in sffect. At this time I sould live to point out that the Gravel onsrations have done absolubely nothing of in the way of contributing anything bensficial to this area, but I don's think £ have to remind you of tho dirty streets they cause, or the broken windshields on your automobilo, in which you can do nothing about, excent claim thnauch your insur+ ance at an out of vockst loss to yourself, and res- ulting increasing insurancs premiums, and last but far from least, the monument to the Gravel operate ions, the conversion of ths Coquitlam River from one of the countries finest sport fishing streams to its present condition of being nothing mors than an open sewer. In view of this, I feel that council should take action to restrict the operation of Gravel trucks on all city streets during the same hours the District of Coquitlam ban is in effect, Yoursvvery truly, , “- Qe F) Coene ~ Wayne B, Oliver.
