1. B.C. Water and Wastes School:

The University of British Columbia are holding their annual Water and
Waste! School from May 22nd to 26th inclusive. We have generally sent one
member of. the Utility or Sewer Department to this school annually. The costs
are minimal - the registration fee is $25.00 and room and board is available

at the University at $10.00 a day.

‘The City Engineer has recommended that the Wa
Davies attend for the full session. He has also requested that Len Pekrul,
‘the Sever Foreman, be permitted to attend the Thursday session at which time
- théte is a discussion on sewer maintenance and sewage pumps and lift stations.
I would recommend that these two employees be permitted to attend on

the basis recommended by the Engineer.
