JUL 10 1988 P Oe WHEREAS the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam is desircus of cancelling portions of road shown dedicated in the City of Port Coquitlam in the Province of British Columbia; a WHEREAS the Registered Owner of the land described in Section 2 of this Bylaw has agreed to convey the said lend to the City so that it may be established as an addition te the roads in the City. AND WHEREAS the "Municipal Act” being Chapter 290 of the Revised Statutes of British Columbia, 1979, provi.es that the Council may by Bylaw dispose of any portion of a highway in cacsange for such lands as may be necessary for the purpose of impreving, widening, straightening, relocating or diverting the highway; NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as foilows: 1. The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, is hereby authorized to convey to the Registered Owner of the lands described in the next Section hereof those portions of dedicated road included within the heavy outline on a plan certified by J. Neil Bennett, British Columbia Land Surveyor, dated the 5th day cf June, 1989, at or for the price or sum of $32.29 per aquare metre for unencumbered land and $10.76 per square metre for land - encumbered by a right-of-way and in exchange for those certain parcels or tracts of land described in the next Section hereof. 2. The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam is hereby authorized to purchase of and from the Registered Owner thereof those portions of land shown hatched on a plan certified by J. Neil Bennett, British Columbia Land Surveyor, dated the 5th day of June, 1989 at or for the price or sun of $1.00 and in exchange for those certain parcels or tracts of land describe in the preceding Section hereof. 3. A copy of the plan referred to in Section 1 and Section 2 hereof is attached to this bylaw and made a part hereof. Pan one ee 4, Those portions of road and lane described in Section 1 hereof, are hereby Be closed and stopped up to traffic of all kinds. 5. Those portions of land described in Section 2 hereof, when conveyed to the City, shall be established as additions to the roads in the City. ae | 6. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to execute A . such conveyances, deeds, maps, receipta and other documents on behalf | of the said City as may be necessary for the purposes aforesaid and to affix the Corperate Seal of the City thereto.
