Re: South Side Water Supply Main Project

Attached are copies of memoranda dated April 13th, 1973,
May 3rd, 1973 and November 9th, 1973. The Committee recommends that
Council authorize proceeding with Phase I of the south side water
supply main in accordance with the City Engineer's memorandum dated
November 9th, 1973, It 1s anticipated that the $220,000.00 estimated
cost of the project will be handled by transferring unexpended revenue
from 1973 to 1974, by using existing funds received for water capital
expenditures ($300.00 per dwelling unic), and from 1974 water system
revenue,

Re: Welcher Avenue Sanitary Landfill

The Committee recommends that the Welcher Avenue Landfill
be closed December 1973 and January and February 1974 except for
Saturday January 5th, 1974 and Sunday, January 6th, 1974 at which time
the public can dispose of xmas trees. —

Re: Simon Fraser Health Unit

The Committee would like to investigate the cost of providing
parking from the presently unopened lane allowance to the south of the
Simon Fraser Health Unit. Once the cost has been established the Commi-
ttee suggests that the Health Unit be requested to provide this needed
parking space.
