"MADE IN CLAY" The Spring Sale '94 Report by Cathi Jefferson Happy New Year everyone...it’s January and our first "Made in Clay" sale is in April so it’s time for action. Everyone involved in the sale should have received some information in the mail, been telephoned thesale, and take-down that out-of-town people will be a real asset in helping with. This way everyone will do a share of the leg work. Elsa Schamis has volunteered to coordinate the billeting of out-of-town participants. If you are willing by a Sub-committee Chair, and hopefully attended the meeting on January 13th. If you were unable to attend the meeting, this short report will bring you up to date. The balance of your booth fee was dues January 15th. If you have not yet sent it in, now is definitely the time to do it, We should have a picture or two (either colour or black & white) of your work by now and if we don’t this is a reminder, If you are sharing a booth and to billet someone Or need a place to stay please contact Elsa at - 526-1221. We also would like to encourage others who may be interested in the sale to come, please call if you need billeting. It is a great opportunity to get to know someone that doesn't live in have not let us know yet, please do so as soon as possible. All people who are participating in the sale should be signed up on a committee by now, let us know soon which one you want to be on: Building/Booth committee, Advertising/Publicity; Sales; Consignment area. Everyone will need to chip in, that way the load will be shared evenly, Out-of- towners remember you are welcome to send in ideas and any suggestions you may have. Remember, we really need a distinctive logo - so continue to send in your ideas. There will be specific help required with set-up, during the lower Mainland and has the same addiction to clay! Elsa will need to know the following: -how many people you can billet -if your home is “non-smoking” -if you have pets, (in case people have allergies) and if you are willing to have pets stay (presumably with their owners in tow.) There will a party on the Saturday night of the sale for everyone involved with the sale, it should be great fun for all. Till next time... Cathi Jefferson
