Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That as recommended in a report from the Public Works Committee, January 22nd, 1975, the "Traffic Regulation By-law, 1971, No. 1117" be amended to authorize the installation of a STOP sign at the South-east corner of Glade and Prairie Avenue. Wks.Comm.re Coq.Dyking Dist.- flood control ¢o works, etc. From the Public Works Committee, January 22nd, 1975, regarding the quitlam Dyking District flood control works, and submitting the following with respect thereto: 1. a letter from Crippen Engineering Ltd., December 7th, 1974, rea propose! study to evalnate alternate internal drainage arrangements in three selected areas of the City, namely, Hyde Creek and Cedar Ditch; Harbour Road; and Dominion Avenue; at en estimated cost of $24,160.00. 2. a memorandum from the City Engineer, December 9th, 1974, commenting that if Crippen Engineering Ltd. was directed by the City to proceed with the proposed study without including instantaneous flow resulting from rainfall of the 25 year return period, it is possible t::e cost of the work would be less than $20,000.00. 3. a memorandum from the City Engineer, January 22nd, 1975, advising that a draft intermunicipal agreement concerning the Coquitlam Dyking District has been forwarded to the respective Administrators and Solicitors of the City and District of Coquitlam for review before presentation to the respective Committees and Councils; an alternative is being considered to the Lincoln Avenue diversion; the Hyde Creek dyke is still being reviewed in detail; the affect of the recent breakdown of the Dominion Avenue pump on the design and tender call of the proposed new pumping units was discussed; and,if a decision is obtained from Council on the matter of investigating improved drainage beyond that provided under the terms of the Fraser River Flood Control Programme within the next two weeks, there will be no delay in Crippen Engineering Ltd.'s work. tv] Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That as recommended in a report from the City Engineer, January 22nd, 1975, Crippen Engineering Ltd. be engaged by the City to investigate the following:
