SUBJECT: WILSON CONNECTOR TO COMO DRIVE

RECOMMENDATION:

That Council direct staff to prepare terms of reference for Transportation
Consultant Services for the development of a conceptual pian for the Wilson
Connector.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

As shown on the attached plan, the Ministry of Transportation and Highways has
identified the need for the Wilson Road Connector which would involve the
construction of approximately 1 1/2 km. of road and a bridge over the
Coquitlam River.

In order for the City to consider design alternatives and financing, it would
be necessary to develop conceptual schemes and initial cost estimates of the
alternatives.

This concept plan could form the basis for discussions with the District of
Coquitlam and the Ministry of Transportation and Highways.
