October 7th, 1974 That the Finance Committee investigate the feasibility of matching the $600.00 grant received from the Mary Hill Community & Ratepayers Association, dollar for dollar, for the Adventure Playground at Routley Park. Carried. Aldermen Keryluk and Traboulay voted against the resolution. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Traboulay stated that while he appreciated the enthusiasm of the mover and secorue., the City is already matching the Association's grant in terms of manpower to install the equipment. Mrs. Singbeil stated that the Association is a Community group, and hopes to raise funds to assist in improving other parks in the City. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: From the Planning & Zoning and Industrial Development Committees, Plan.& Zon. Comm.—-Permit- October 3rd, 1974, referring to the fact that at the September 9th, 1974 ted Uses-M-2 Council meeting the Report of the two Committees on Permitted Uses in M- Zone 2 Zone was referred back to the Committees for further clarification on Items (5), (11), and (12), and advising of recommendations made following a review at a joint meeting on October 2nd, 1974. A brief discussion ensued, and Alderman Laking stated he felt a section should be added whereby establishment of industries manufacturing from raw materials could be done under Land Use Contract, provided they were acceptable to the City. Mayor Campbell stated that the City Clerk had advised him this could automatically be done without adding such a section. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That with respect to Permitted Uses in the M-2 (Heavy Industrial) Zone the following changes recommended by the Planning & Zoning and Industrial Development Committees, in a report dated October 3rd, 1974, be adopted: 1. To items (5), (10), (11) added "excluding manufacturing and processing from raw materials". 2. A separate section added to M~2 stating that "where manufacturing and processing from raw materials not permitted may be considered by Land Use Contract". Carried.
