I&csday snt4 Item No. 1 Pronosals Reeve Street Park — ~,~ ~ & Recreation Committee went over the various proposals that have been received for the conceptual plan for Reeve Street Park. Seven companies were asked to put proposals. in: Underwood McLellan Limited Eikos Group Incorporated Rule Reeve Associates D.M. Group Randall Sharp Associates Brian Guzzi Associates We received six proposals; Rancall Sharp and the U.M.A. Group put in a joint proposal. The Committee discussed the proposals and shortlisted to three for Council to interview. The three who have been short-listed are Randall Sharp & Associates, McLellan Plansearch and D.M. Group. Council will do the interviewing of the three consultants with a final decision The Parks & & & to be made. Recommendation: b) That Randail Sharc & Associates, D.M. Group and McLelian Plansearcn be short-listed for the Reeve Street conceptual park plan. That they be interviewed September 5th, 1985. CARRIED /2. AOG 28 5)RS Item No. Metro Motors 2 Mike McKone of Metro Motors has requested that he be able to attend the parks & Recreation Committee meeting to further discuss the highway median the trees. It was reported to the Committee and that the cost to remove all the trees would be 83,600 and another $ 2,200 to redo the area with low ground cover. That Mike McYone be to the next Parks & Recreation Committee invited meeting. Item No. CARRIED 3 Iwilson Centre Ex ansion The Parks Recreation discussed the aspect of the expansion Committee Wilson Centre and feel, at this time, that it is atnecessary kind of recommendation to Committee toof make some Council. The Committee also feels that it necessary to meet with the executive of the isWilson Centre as soon as possible. & 1. That the Wilson Centre Advisory Board invited to the next Parks Committee meeting. 2. 3. & Recreation be That Stage I (expansion to Wilson Centre) be included in the ten year capital works program. The cost in 1985 dollars is $ 552,300. That monies be set aside in the 1986 budget to hire an architect to prepare working drawings for. the expansion of Wilson Centre.
