5) DELIVERABLES:
PART 1: Preliminary Engineering Report

The consultant will provide a report and plans for the preliminary design and cost
estimates for the Lougheed Connector including the four lane bridge, bridge toll
facilities, the new connector road east of the bridge, the temporary connector road
west of the bridge as shown on

Plan 1. The preliminary design is to show the plan/profile of the facilities and the
exact location of the rights of way.

A functional design is to be prepared for the future CPR overpass, highway
interchange, and future connector road located west of the new bridge. The rights
of way locations and a cost estimate for these components are to be included.

All requirements for approval from other government agencies such as Fisheries,
Environment and Ministry of Highways are to be listed. A preliminary design, and
cost estimate are to be prepared for required environmental mitigation projects.

PART 2: Project Engineering Services

The consultant will provide detailed engineering drawings and tender documents in
AutoCAD and Word Perfect formats. At the completion of the project, the
consultant is to provide a set of certified as-constructed mylar drawings and a set
of revised engineering drawings in AutoCAD format. All computer files and
tender documents will become the exclusive property of the City on completion of
the work.

INFORMATION MEETING

The City will hold an information meeting July 28, 1993 at 1:30 p.m. in the third floor Heritage
Room, City Hail.

The purpose of the meeting will be to answer general questions and provide further technical
information to consultants. The City will have available both Engineering and Public Works
staff at the meeting.

It is anticipated that Part 2 would be completed in 1993, and the bridge and roads would be built
in 1994; however, if there are insufficient funds for construction, Part 2 of this project may be
delayed or cancelled altogether.

SUBMISSION DATE

All proposals are to be submitted to the City by 4:00 p.m. on August 18, 1993.
