Alison Peargrieve focuses on handbadiding her whim- sical functional ‘on the edge” forms. Personal varia- tions of wheel throwing will be demonstrated by Pamela Nagley Stevenson and Clary lian. Peter Isley (I'm still doing penance for misspelling his name in the brochure and sin- cerely apologize for the error) will be giving instruction and demonstrations about crystal- line glazes plus we hope to have him unloading a crystalline glaze firing that very day. Sally Michener will be in the foyer assembling a large figure and Peter Ring from Florida will be putting together a large free- standing sculpture as well — so lots to sec! Susan LePoidevin ami Laura Wee Lay Lag have quite unique personal ap- proaches to pit firing and it will be very interesting to watch their different ways af working. Plus Susan will be showing slides about her recent residency in Kilmartin, Scotland. The clay and glaze expert for the symposium is internation- ally renowned Ontario potter Ron Roy. Paul will also show slides and discuss his upcoming book The Sexual History of Clay. The keynote address features Paul and Clary giving their views on The Aesthetics of Form, which should prove to be both diverse and entertaining. A special session uses Harmeny Vissers” award winning idea Outside Influences where several presenters will participate. We are counting on everyone to participate once again in the Ceramic Rogdshow ro make it a truly spectacular event. Remember to bring your piece — old ornew made by you or someone elec.
