We act on’behalf of Mr. P wceroft and Mr. Riddler and as Council is
aware, our clients mae. an application on April 6th, 1977, by
letter and also made appearances in front of yourselves on more

than one occasion.

Acting on behalf of cur clients, we have now been advised by the
Director of Administration of the Ministry of Consumer and
Corporate Affairs, Liquor Control and Licensing Branch, Victoria,
that our client's application for a neighbourhood public house
site licence has been refused.

We would appreciate City Council supporting our application for
such a licence, and in this regard we are prepared to appear on
Monday, August 8th, 1977, in front of Council in order to clarify
our position with regard to the appeal and our reasons for the
application for a liquor licence and a city licence for the
operation of a neighbourhood public house site.
